Political party registration information, for the annual and campaign period specified, is provided. Parties that have been de-registered are identified as such. Additional information on the reason for de-registration can be obtained by contacting Elections Alberta.
Annual reporting is based on the January 1 to December 31 period (excluding the campaign period). The campaign period begins with the issuance of the Writs of Election and concludes two months after Polling Day.
For this reason, registration and financial reporting is divided into two separate periods: annual and campaign. Annual period reporting is filed by March 31 for the preceding calendar year. Campaign reporting only occurs in a year that a Provincial General Election, a by-election, or a Senate Nominee Election is held. Selecting “Financial Statement” in the right-hand column accesses political party financial statements for both annual and campaign periods.
