Parties
 

Political Parties are political organizations that have met the legislative requirements under section 6(2) of the Election Finances and Contributions Disclosure Act and have registered with Elections Alberta. Political parties must update their registration information as changes occur and file financial statements as required.

Authority for the reporting of political party registration and financial statement information is provided by the
Election Finances and Contributions Disclosure Act and is available in the Public Files at Elections Alberta.  This website provides information beginning in 2004.

Definitions:

Original - A scanned version of the financial statement in the prescribed format, and a list of contributor names and amounts for contributions over $250 in aggregate where applicable, as submitted to Elections Alberta.  (Prior to January 1, 2013 the contribution disclosure threshold was over $375.)

Original Not Available - The financial statement a) has not been received by Elections Alberta, b) has been received but not accepted as filed, or c) has been received and accepted, and is in the process of being scanned and published to this website.

Final - A final approved version of the financial statement and list of contributor names and amounts for contributions over $250 in aggregate where applicable, after it has undergone review and any necessary amendments by Elections Alberta. (Prior to January 1, 2013 the contribution disclosure threshold was over $375.)

Final Not Available - The financial statement a) has not been received by Elections Alberta, b) has been received but not accepted as filed, or c) has been received and accepted, and is under review.
