Third Party Advertisers - Referendum
Referendum Third Party Advertisers (RTPAs) can only advertise during Alberta referendums. After an RTPA has registered with Elections Alberta, the RTPA must file contribution reports each week of the referendum advertising period, and file a referendum advertising return within six months after Voting Day.
For the 2026 Referendum, the advertising period runs from March 31, 2026 to October 19, 2026. Weekly contribution reports are due on Thursdays - the last due date is October 22. Our goal is to publish the reports on Fridays - the last publish date is scheduled for October 23. The RTPA financial return is due by Monday, April 19, 2027.
