Candidates must file an Application for Registration with Elections Alberta, prior to Nomination Day (and filing of the Candidate‚Äôs Nomination Paper, pursuant to section 59 of the Election Act). All registered candidates are required to file candidate financial statements, which contain a summary of information on revenue and expenses. Financial statements prior to 2013 must include a listing of contributors that contributed an aggregate amount over $375 in cash or valued goods and services.  Beginning January 2013, contributors who have made contributions over $250 will be disclosed.  Contributor information provided contains the name, address and amount of contributions made by the contributor and by any entity related to the contributor.  All contributions below the threshold amounts are reported as part of the total revenue, but do not identify the contributors.
