The campaign period for the 2012 General Election commenced with the issuance of the Writs of Election on March 26, 2012 and ended June 23, 2012, 2 months after Polling Day. Financial statements for the campaign period were required to be filed with Elections Alberta in accordance with Section 43 of Election Finances and Contributions Disclosure Act. Registered candidates were required to file their Campaign Period Financial Statements on or before August 23, 2012. 419 registered candidates filed financial statements by the due date. |
