Overview

Elections Alberta maintains registration and financial reporting information of political parties, constituency associations and candidates. In 2011 legislation came into force requiring Elections Alberta to also oversee registration and financial reporting of third party advertisers. In 2013, leadership contests were added, followed by nomination contests in 2016.
 
Authority for the disclosure of this information is provided by the Election Finances and Contributions Disclosure Act (EFCDA) and is available in the Public Files at Elections Alberta. This website provides information beginning in 2004.
